Terms of Service
Last updated: August 17, 2026
By creating an account or using Scoutyx, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Scoutyx
Scoutyx is open to athletes, scouts, and organisations. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the verification step described in our Privacy Policy before your profile becomes visible to others. If you're under the age required by your local law to agree to these terms without guardian consent, a parent or guardian must accept them on your behalf.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your profile, including physical stats and highlight media.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- One account per person. Impersonating another athlete, scout, or organisation is not allowed.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload media you don't have the rights to, or that depicts someone other than the profile owner without consent.
- Use Scoutyx to harass, discriminate against, or misrepresent any user.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or bulk-extract athlete data from the platform or Athene AI.
- Share another user's private contact information obtained through the platform outside of Scoutyx.
- Use automated tools to create accounts or manipulate shortlists, ratings, or search rankings.
4. Athene AI
Athene AI helps scouts find athletes using natural-language search. It uses an AI model only to interpret your query — every athlete result returned comes directly from our own database, never generated or invented by the AI. Consulting features (training plans, sports psychology guidance) are informational and not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or coaching advice.
5. Subscriptions & payments
- Paid plans (Pro, Elite, Standard, and similar tiers) renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from the subscription management page — access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Subscriptions are purchased on scoutyx.com, not inside the mobile app. A plan bought on the website unlocks in the app on your next request — there is nothing to restore or re-enter.
- All payments are processed by Stripe. Scoutyx does not store your card details.
- Prices are shown in EUR and include VAT where it applies.
6. Identity verification
Verifying your identity is optional and costs a single payment of €2.99. It is not a subscription: it does not renew, and it is not tied to any plan. If you already hold a paid subscription, verification is included at no extra charge.
- One payment covers up to three attempts. A blurred photo or poor lighting can be retried at no further cost. If all three are used without a result, contact us — you will not be charged again.
- The check is carried out by Stripe. Your document and selfie go to Stripe directly and are never received or stored by Scoutyx. What we keep is set out in our Privacy Policy, section 6.
- You must be 18 or over. If the document shows you are under 18 the badge is refused, and your account moves into the parental consent process — the same one every under-18 account goes through. Your profile is not deleted and you are not penalised; we are asking for the consent we are legally required to have.
- Refunds. If a check is refused because the document shows you are under 18, we refund the €2.99. Where you paid on our website, the refund is issued automatically. Where you paid through Apple, we are not permitted to issue refunds ourselves — Apple does not provide developers with that ability — so you will need to request it from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. The app will show you these instructions at the time.
- A verified badge reflects a check that was carried out at a point in time. It does not expire, and Scoutyx does not remove it if your subscription lapses.
7. Content ownership
You retain ownership of the media and content you upload. Nothing you post here becomes ours. You can remove your content, or delete your account, at any time.
What we may do with it — the licence that lets us display it, and the separate permission that would let us advertise with it — is set out in section 8.
8. Content licence and promotional use
Version 1.0 · effective August 17, 2026
This section sets out what Scoutyx may do with the photos, videos, statistics and text you upload. It separates two very different things, and the separation is the point: one is what running the platform requires, the other is advertising, and only the second one asks anything of you.
a) The licence that operates the platform.
You keep ownership of everything you upload. To run Scoutyx we need permission to store it, process it into the formats a phone can play, and show it to the people your account is meant to reach — in your profile, in the feed, in search and Athene results, and in conversations you take part in. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for exactly that and nothing more. It exists because a platform cannot display your profile without permission to display your profile; it is not a licence to advertise with your face.
b) The licence that advertises Scoutyx.
Using your name, image, content or achievements to promote Scoutyx itself — on our website, our social media accounts, in app-store material, in press or in paid advertising — is a separate permission, and we ask for it separately. It is the Marketing & Promotion option you can tick when you register or switch on later in Profile → Settings → Privacy.
- It is off unless you turn it on. It is never pre-ticked, ticking it is never required to create an account, and leaving it alone costs you nothing — no feature, no visibility, no ranking.
- Under-18 accounts are excluded entirely. The option is not shown to them and cannot be switched on for them by any means. Nothing belonging to a user under 18 is ever used to promote Scoutyx.
- You can withdraw at any time, from the same screen, with no reason and no penalty. We stop new promotional use from that moment. Material already printed, published or distributed cannot always be recalled — a magazine that is already on a shelf stays on the shelf — but we will remove what is still within our control, and we will not reuse it.
- It earns you nothing and costs you nothing. This permission is not payment for anything and it is not paid for. If we ever want to use your content in a way that is worth paying you for, we will ask you separately and agree terms with you.
- We do not license your content to third parties for their advertising, and we do not sell it. Promotional use means promoting Scoutyx.
c) What you are promising us.
When you upload something, you confirm you have the right to. That matters most for match footage: clubs, leagues and broadcasters often hold rights in it, and other people appear in it. Do not upload content you do not have permission to share, and do not upload footage of other people — particularly other minors — who have not agreed to appear on your profile. We remove content on a rights-holder's valid request.
d) When it ends.
Both licences end when you delete the content or your account, other than the two carve-outs in our Privacy Policy (messages you sent to other people, and records the law requires us to keep). Deleting your account withdraws the promotional permission as well.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or pose a risk to other users — particularly minors. You can delete your own account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account in the app, which erases your profile, media and personal details rather than hiding them. A parent or guardian can request removal of a minor's account by emailing gcampoyf@gmail.com.
10. Reporting and moderation
Every post and every profile has a report and a block option in the app. Blocking is immediate and mutual. Reports reach a moderation queue that a person reviews, and we may remove content or restrict an account that breaks these terms.
Reports involving a user under 18 are prioritised. If you believe a minor is at risk, email gcampoyf@gmail.com as well as reporting in the app.
11. Disclaimers
Scoutyx is a discovery platform — we don't guarantee trials, contracts, or sponsorships resulting from use of the platform. Athlete-provided stats and information are self-reported unless explicitly marked as verified.
12. Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and notify you in-app for material changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
